We recognize that gardens are essential to our well-being, today more than ever. It’s outdoors where we can be restored by the rhythms of nature. This experience is available in your own backyard. There we can design an environment where you can be restored, in your own personal sanctuary.
Here’s how our design process works:
· First we have a chat on the phone to see if we are a good fit for one another.
· Then I will come to your home to walk your yard and to listen to your vision.
· When you decide to work with us, I will send you a letter welcoming you to our team.
· Our team is comprised of a Landscape Architect, a Plant Specialist, and me, John. We will work together with you throughout the design and building process.
· Included with that letter, we will also send you a questionnaire and instructions for how to collect and share with us photos of gardens that you like.
· We will then come to your house to measure your landscape. We use laser levels and drones to collect accurate site data about your property.
· Then, using your responses to the questionnaire, photos, and site data, we prepare a concept design that we anticipate will go beyond your expectations and be within your budget.
· This concept drawing—a detailed drawing that we could actually build from—will be accompanied by your budget with a line item for everything that is included in the drawing.
· We will present the concept and budget on Zoom and then email you all documents for you to review.’
· Take as long as you need to review the documents. Then send us your feedback.
· Once we receive your feedback, we will revise your drawing.
· Upon your revision approval, we will prepare a proposal for construction.
As always, we offer free consultations. We can walk through your property, get some fresh air, and share how we can create your own personal Garden Sanctuary.
Speaking of sanctuaries, I am offering the first two chapters of my book, Garden Sanctuary: Designing for Comfort, Wholeness and Connection free. You may download it here.
